BKS Iyengar: Constance Braden, Pauline Schloesser, Suzy Shapiro
For over 70 years, B.K.S. Iyengar has pioneered the use of props such as blocks, bolsters, and more, now common in yoga studios everywhere, to enhance our experience of yoga postures. In this session students will enjoy asanas designed to open the body and mind for the practice of pranayama, discover the use of props to enhance the preparation and practice of pranayama and practice pranayama suitable for all levels. Come learn how a restorative yoga practice prepares the body and mind for pranayama (regulation of breath) and meditation. Class size is limited to 20 people.
